Genevieve is a visual artist working between drawing, photography and video. Informed by feminist aesthetics and contemporary glass theory, her PhD thesis explored traditions of self portraiture and the visual representation of sound and touch. She holds an undergraduate degree in drawing and printmaking, and has engaged in interdisciplinary collaborations and residencies in Greenland and Andalusia, and presented work in the US, Australia, Argentina and Mexico. Her work is held in public collections in Australia and internationally. As resident artist at Ainslie and Gorman Arts Centres, Genevieve teaches drawing courses and is part of a cross- disciplinary music and video collaboration, Ampleya.
